Paul Schmidt

I was always involved in athletics, and started playing multiple sports as a young boy until I graduated High School. In college I focused on one sport, wrestling. After finishing my wrestling career, I started coaching wrestling, which I have been doing for thirty years. I like to win, just like everyone else, I set personal goals and team goals each year to measure our success. This past year not only did we achieve success on the mat by winning a National Championship but we did very well in the classroom academically. I'm an avid golfer and enjoy being with the students at Nassau Community College.

Quote

We try to give our student athletes the best opportunity to succeed in the classroom and on the wrestling mat.

“If you are honest with yourself and can look into a mirror and believe that you have given 100 percent, you should feel proud. If you cannot, then there is more work to be done.” – John Havlicek
