(Garden City, NY) Women's Lacrosse took on Howard Community College on Sunday at home. The Lions were really looking for a win after a few unfortunate losses to Erie and CCBC-Essex.
Howard was quick to win the first possession and convert it into a goal, putting them up 1-0. But
Danielle Keener answered with 2 goals in the matter of 4 minutes to put the Lions on the board. The Dragons managed to sneak 3 goals past the Nassau's goalie to put them up 5-2.
Danielle Preattle scored her first goal of the game and the last goal of the 1st half for the Lions. Howard punched in 2 more goals to end the half, leaving the score 7-3.
The Lions came into the second half with determination. The Danielle Duo snagged another 2 goals to put NCC within striking distance. But Howard went on a run that the Lions just couldn't stop. They scored 6 goal in a row, making the final score 13-5.
The Lions will be back in action on Tuesday to face the Suffolk Sharks in Selden, New York.
