The Lions wrestling team send 10 of their wrestlers off to Iowa to compete in the National Tournament. The Lions were able as a team to secure both the Region and then the District championships with eight of their wrestlers placing first and two of them earning second place spots. The following wrestlers are heading to compete at Nationals.
 

Patrick Ancewicz- 285 lbs. – graduated from John Glenn HS in Elwood, NY where he went 32-2 as a senior and was the Section XI Champion.

Adam Busiello- 157 lbs. – graduated from Eastport South-Manor HS where he was a 5X NYS Champion. Adam had the most wins of any high school wrestler in NY history with 294 wins.

Kris Ketchum- 149 lbs. – graduated from Rocky Point HS with a 50-6 record his senior year and finished 3rd in NYS.

Isaiah Lee- 197 lbs. – graduated from Uniondale HS where he finished his Junior season at 4th place in Section VIII. Unfortunately, his senior year was cancelled due to Covid.

Kevin Lopez- 125 lbs. – graduated from Long Beach HS where he was undefeated his senior year before Covid cut it short.

Ryan Paladino- 141 lbs – graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School and captured the NYS Catholic School Championships as a senior.

Joseph Petrone- 133 lbs. – graduated from Huntington HS and unfortunately missed his senior year due to Covid.

Xavier Pommells- 174 lbs. – graduated from Uniondale HS where he was 45-1 as a senior and a NYS Runner up.

Jaimeson Shea- 184 lbs. – graduated from Centereach HS where he was 32-6 as a senior and finished 4th in Section XI
