The Official Athletics Website of the Nassau Community College Lions

The Lions traveled to Rochester, NY for the NYS Collegiate Championships. The tournament was comprised of 30 teams from New York, ranging from DI to Community Colleges.
The Lions had an overall strong showing with five of our wrestlers placing within the top 5 for their respective weight classes. The results are as follows:

• 125lbs: Kevin Lopez (2^nd Place)
• 125lbs: Joe Petrone (3^rd Place)
• 141lbs: Quincy Howard (8^th Place)
• 149lbs: Kris Ketchum (2^nd Place)
• 165lbs: Joe Russo (7^th Place)
• 184lbs: Xavier Pommells (4^th Place)
• 184lbs: Jaimeson Shea (3^rd Place Freshman/Sophomore Division)

This is a great showing as the Lions have many competitive wrestlers and begin to shift their aim at the District Tournament taking place on February 18th at Nassau.
