The #5 Nassau Community College men's soccer team defeated LaGuardia Community College by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday evening.

How it happened

• Five Nassau players scored goals in the win.
• Marco Russo opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a a goal assisted by Juan Sanchez De Los Santos.
• Matteo Kanakaris followed with an unassisted goal two minutes later.
• Marc Augustin then scored four consecutive goals, three of them assisted by Kanakaris, through the first half to give Nassau a 6-0 lead at the break.
• Ford Balde, Marco Russo, and Edwin Escobar each added a goal in the second half.
• Goalkeeper Bryan Hernandez had one save through 79 minutes in net for the win.
• The Lions outshot the Red Hawks 33-3.
