The 2024 men's soccer season has come to an end in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Championship, finishing the season with a 15-3-2 overall record. The Lions went back-to-back years winning the Region XV and North Atlantic District Championship, and making it to the national semifinal.
#2 Nassau defeated #7 Joliet Junior College by a score of 4-0 in the quarterfinal with goals from Marco Russo (2), Marc Augustin, and Matteo Kanakaris. In the semifinal game, Nassau faced #3 Mohawk Valley Community College and were topped 2-1. Matteo Kanakaris scored the first goal of the game, but Mohawk Valley later scored two unanswered goals. In the third place game, Nassau was defeated by Camden County College 2-0.
Nassau Community College won the Region XV and North Atlantic District Championship, taking home the title for the fifth time in the past six seasons. The Lions held their opponent scoreless in all three games of the regional tournament. Nassau earned the following Region XV recognition:
Region XV Coach of the Year: Dan Fisher
Region XV Player of the Year: Nicolai Peralta
First-Team All-Region: Nicolai Peralta, Marc Augustin, Matteo Kanakaris
Second-Team All Region: Marco Russo
Honorable Mention: Michael Perez-Barrios
Sportsmanship Team: Christian Yanes
