Andrew Capitelli joined the Nassau Community College Department of Athletics in October 2023.
He arrived from St. Joseph’s University, New York where he spent the previous year in the Office of Marketing and Communications as a content developer.
From 2015 to 2022, Capitelli was the Manager of Athletic Communications at St. Joseph’s Long Island campus where he oversaw the promotion of 20 NCAA Division III athletic programs. He also helped establish the institution’s esports program and was its moderator from 2019 to 2023.
Capitelli served as sports information director at Borough of Manhattan Community College from 2014 to 2015 and as an athletic communications assistant at Adelphi University in 2015 and SUNY Old Westbury from 2013 to 2014.
A seasoned sportswriter, Capitelli has written for Yahoo! Sports and Bleacher Report and has covered the NHL and the Premier League for other various outlets.
A 2010 graduate of NCC with an A.A. in Liberal Arts, Capitelli went on to earn a B.A. in Journalism and Creative Writing from Baruch College in 2012 and an M.S. in Sport and Fitness Administration from Adelphi in 2017.
