(Garden City, NJ) On Tuesday, the Lions hosted Kingsborough Community College at home for their 4th game of the season. The Lions were coming off of a solid win against Queensborough, and were starting to really gel as a team.
NCC dominated from the beginning, scoring 24 points in the first quarter and holding KCC to only 6. Going into halftime the Lions were up 50-17. The Lions didn't back down even after halftime. They continued to bring the heat, and buried KCC 86-38, final score.
Player highlights were
Nicole McCann who finished with a total of 19 points and 7 rebounds. Niyah Ellis wasn't far behind her with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Victoria Mercado tallied 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Samantha Capobioncos and
Renee Best contributed to the team with 8 points and 6 points respectively. The star of the game was
Kashianna Wynter, who had a career high of 28 total points. She shot 50% from the 3 point line, and helped lead the team to victory.
Nassau is now 2-0 in the conference. They have won their last two games by 48 & 46 points respectively.

Brian Kuar commented after the game, "We have room for improvement, but I think its great this early in the season seeing our ladies buy in to the program, and have fun while doing it."
The Lions will be back in action on Thursday, as they take on Bergen Community College at home.
