(Garden City, NY) Last Thursday, the Nassau women's soccer competed against Kingsborough Community College on a rainy night under the lights of Mitchell Field.
The Lions dominated the game from the beginning.
Maya Jones, with an assist from
Lisa Maybie, found the back of the net 6 minutes into the game.
Ashley Esposito,
Nataly Ramirez and
Kristel Carbajal all also scored in the first half. The score was 4-0 as the teams went into the locker room for halftime.Â
Coming off of break, the Lions continued to keep The Wave completely scoreless and racked up another 4 goals.
Brienna Sullivan and Nataly Ramriez contributed to these goals. The final score was 8-0, Nassau.
Standout player of the game was
Nataly Ramirez who recorded 3 goals and 1 assist.Â
After the match, Head Coach
Chris Megaloudis commented, "We had a total of 8 different players contribute with either an assist or goal in this game. That is some quality teamwork and the women earned a well deserved victory."
With this win, Nassau continues their four game winning streak and remains undefeated in the conference. Regional Playoffs begin in the middle of October. On Tuesday, the Lions will host Monroe College-Bronx at Mitchell Field.
