(Garden City, NY) On Saturday, the Men's Soccer team hosted Ocean Community College at Mitchell Field. The Ocean Vikings were the first non-conference team for the Lions to play in a few weeks, and NCC was looking to keep their 11 game win streak alive and well.
In the first half, the Lions came out quick. With an assist from Jason Cruz, Nassau's Rob Anastasio scored in the first 5 minutes of the game. Shortly after
Jamie Quiroz sent another goal into the back of the net with an assist from
Juan Alava.
In the second half, NCC continued to dominate.
Jean Paul Rodriguez scored Nassau's third goal to seal the 3-0 win. This was Rodriguez's 14th recorded goal of the season.

Dan Fisher commented after the game, "This was a solid win for us against a respectable non-conference opponent. I see this as good prep for the Regional playoffs at the end of October."
