(Herkimer, NY) The Nassau Community College Women's Soccer Team took a trip up to the Herkimer College for an invitational to battle the Herkimer Generals and the Genesee Cougars. For the first game, the Nassau Lions fell to Herkimer Community College 6-0. The girls fell short but fought hard through the entirety of the game with low numbers. Brianna Sullivan led the defense making crucial plays for the team. On Sunday, the Lions faced the Genesee Community College. In the first half the girls dropped 6-0. After making minor adjustments and creating a new game plan going into the second half, the girls only let in one goal in the last forty-five minutes ending with a 7-0 loss.
Diana Lemus controlled the field and was a huge facilitator for the team. The girls proved their strength in the second half of this game and competed with nationally ranked teams this weekend. The Nassau Lions will take on Holyoke Community College this Saturday, September 1
st at Mitchell Field.
