(Garden City, NY) On Sunday, the Lions laced up their cleats and hit their home soccer pitch to square up against the Fashion Institute of Technology for the second time this season.
Captain
Kelly Fogarty helped kick start the Lions scoring 16 minutes into the first half. Only 4 minutes later, Fogarty booted another ball to the back of the net to make the score 2-0. Moving on to the second half, Nassau's defense continued to clean up and keep the ball out of their territory. Next to score for the Lions was
Shonagh Cleary, who was assisted by
Claudia Andrade. They made the score 3-0. At 43 minutes,
Nicole Alfonsi sealed the Lions victory when she scored their fourth goal. The final score was 4-0, Nassau.

Chris Megaloudis commented after the game, "We are very proud of the women and how they were able to perform against FIT today. Our defense is more than prepared to stop whatever comes their way and our front line is ready to attack, making us a lethal combination."
