(Garden City, NY) With wins against Queensborough in the quarter finals and Monroe College in the semi-finals, the Men's Soccer team earned themselves a one way ticket to the Region XV Finals against Borough of Manhattan CC (BMCC). The game was held at their home field on Saturday. In the regular season, Nassau beat BMCC in a close game that finished 2-1.
At the start of the first half, Sophomore
Jasson Cruz came out with determination and scored just 1:19 into the game to put the Lions in the lead. The Nassau defense kept BMCC scoreless for the rest of the first half. It wasn't until the last minute of regulation at 89:32 that
Carlos Martinez scored the Lions second goal to punch their ticket to the National Championships.
"We've been preparing for this moment all season and I couldn't be more proud of the men and the way they carried themselves today. Now, we need to rest up so that we can be sure to bring our A-game on Thursday." stated Head Coach

The men will suit up for the NJCAA National Championships starting on Thursday. The Lions go into this game with an 18-1 record.
