(Brooklyn, NY) Last Sunday, the Nassau Men's Tennis Team opened their 2019 season with a match against Kingsborough CC. The game was played in the gymnasium because of inclement weather.
The singles matches competed first featuring Matt Musalo,
Angel Lugo,
Jack Chen, and Juan Jimenez. All four matches, Nassau won 6-0. First and second doubles played after, where NCC swept winning both matches. The Lions came out on top 9-0.
Head Coach
Laura Gilbert commented post-match, "This was a good win to start the season with. Although we don't often play tennis on gym floors, the team was able to handle the faster bounce. I love their enthusiasm and willingness to adapt. That is going to take us a long way this year."
The next game for the Lions will be on Thursday as they take on the Suffolk Sharks in East Meadow, NY.
