(East Meadow, NY) On Thursday, the Men's Tennis team went head to head with Brookdale Community College.
 
A light rain fell on the Lions and Jersey Blues as they started with the singles matches. Sean Parson's sets were neck and neck, forcing the match into a tiebreaker. Parson came out victorious 10-8. Jack Chen also had a great match, winning handily 6-0 and 6-3.
 
In doubles, Juan Jimenez and Jack Chen played a hard fought match, but fell to Brookdale, 9-7. Mike Linekin and Andrew Randazzo played aggressively at the net and got to every shot sealing their win, 8-4.  
 
Overall the Lions continue their winning streak finishing the day, 6-3.
 
"This was a good match to prepare us for Regionals. Getting a significant amount of quality match play experience is exactly what we needed and Brookdale certainly gave us a run for our money." Head Coach Laura Gilbert commented after the game.
 
Next up for the Lions, is the Region XV Tournament on Saturday in Selden, NY.
