(East Meadow, NY) The second game on Sunday for the Men's Tennis team was against Kingsborough CC. The Wave only had 4 players, which forced them to default 3 matches from the beginning.
Matt Musalo was unable to play in the number 2 singles spot, which moved
Jack Chen up. Juan Jimenez was 3rd, while Andrew Randazzo played 4th singles. The singles swept and won all 4 matches.
The dynamic duo of
Sean Althaus and
Angel Lugo partnered again to seal up the win for the weekend. Overall the Lions won 9-0 and are currently 4-0 for the season.
Outstanding individuals were Andrew Randazzo,
Jack Chen, and Juan Jimenez who each brought in 3 wins from the day's back-to-back matches. Additionally, Andrew Celauro played his first match and brought home a victory.
"This entire day was a great experience for our players. They were able to perform while fatigued which will help during Regionals and Nationals. We are looking forward to seeing both of these teams come tournament time." stated Head Coach
Laura Gilbert.
Nassau will travel to Selden, New York to face the Fashion Institute of Technology Tigers for a second time this Saturday. The game is at 2:30 PM ET.
