The Nassau Community College football team was ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division III Football Rankings released on Monday.
The Lions return to the national rankings for the first time since Sept. 5 when they finished fifth in the Week 2 poll. NCC had finished tied for fourth in the Preseason Poll released on Aug. 21.
A 24-21 win over then-fifth Louisburg College on Saturday, Nov. 4, saw the Lions displace the Hurricanes in the latest ranking. NCC has won three straight games since dropping a 27-7 decision at Army Military Academy Prep on Oct. 6.
Nassau heads into the final week of the season with a 5-4 overall record and is set to face Sussex County Community College on Saturday, Nov. 11. Kick-off for the 2023 finale is set for 1 p.m. from Mitchel Athletic Complex.
