Lions Men's Golf opened up their season off of winning the Region last year with a Region XV home outing at Eisenhower Park White. The conditions at Eisenhower were overcast with a lot of wind traveling throughout the course. The Lions have three returners from last years Region Champion team and two new talented additions in
Michael Cafaro and
John Cosenza. The Lions were able to play some good golf considering it being their first outing along with the conditions, as the team picked up where they left off last year with the team shooting the best five scores of the day. Leading the charge for the Lions was
Kevin O'Rourke shooting a 74 overall followed by
Brody Wynne with an 80,
Michael Cafaro with an 85,
Brett Shields an 88, and
John Cosenza with a 93. This led to the Lions securing a top place finish with a 324 overall. The Lions look forward to their outing against Old Westbury Thursday April 5th on Eisenhower Blue and continuing Region XV play April 10th when they travel to Orange. We look forward to to seeing the team compete with their plans of repeating as Region Champions.
Go Lions!
