The Nassau Community College men's basketball team earned two Region XV wins at home this weekend, defeating Dutchess Community College 69-55 and SUNY Sullivan 76-61. The Lions improve to 4–5 overall, and 4-3 in Region XV conference play.

How It Happened
Nassau came out energized, opening on an 11–2 run fueled by early baskets from Anthony Harrison and Glen McBeth Jr. The Lions maintained control throughout the first half, attacking the paint and controlling the boards to take a 36-21 halftime lead.
In the second half, Nassau's defense continued to set the tone, forcing 16 Dutchess turnovers and holding the Falcons to 38% shooting from the field. McBeth led the charge with timely scoring bursts, while Harrison provided toughness inside. Isaiah Blunt added valuable minutes off the bench, scoring nine points and pulling down key rebounds as the Lions fended off a late Dutchess push.

How it Happened
Nassau opened the game with a remarkable 21–0 run, overwhelming Sullivan on both ends of the floor. The Lions forced a series of turnovers that led to transition baskets for Camren Welker and Anthony Harrison, while Glen McBeth Jr. knocked down two threes during the surge. Sullivan did not score its first field goal until the 13:59 mark of the first half.
The Lions held a 34–22 lead at halftime and continued to dictate the pace in the second half. Harrison scored twice inside to rebuild a 20-point advantage, and McBeth connected from beyond the arc again to push the lead to 51–32. Sullivan attempted to respond behind the play of Xavier Beckford and Tomas Hernandez, but Nassau's defensive pressure and rebounding control prevented any sustained comeback. The margin never dipped below double digits in the final ten minutes as the Lions closed out the win.
