UTICA, NY — Nassau Community College will be well-represented at the 2025 NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, hosted May 8–10 by Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. Nine standout student-athletes from the Lions' men's and women's track & field programs have qualified to compete on the national stage, showcasing their hard work and top performances from the 2025 season.
Women's Qualifier

Gianna Russo-Sanchez (SO): A dynamic sprinter, Gianna qualified in three events—the 100m (13.03), 200m (26.94), and 400m (1:04.71). She has been a consistent force throughout the season, highlighted by strong showings at the Tom Farrell Classic and The Big Hurt Invitational.
Men's Qualifiers

Gary Leschinski (FR): One of the most versatile Lions this season, Gary earned national berths in the 100m (10.80), 400m (51.89), and javelin (46.32m). His explosive speed and throwing range make him a unique dual-threat competitor.

Daniel Blae-Price (FR): A key middle-distance sprinter, Daniel will compete in the 200m (22.86) and 400m (49.35). He also anchored relay squads and posted the team's fastest 400m time of the year.

Joab Gaspard (FR): Joab qualifies in the 400m (56.69) and is also a capable hurdler, clocking 1:01.04 in the 400m hurdles at the Wolverine Classic.

Jaydin Washington (FR): Jaydin punched his ticket in the 100m (11.15) and contributed to both the Lions' 4x100 and 4x400 relay efforts.

David Meyers (FR): A powerful presence in the throws, David will compete in the shot put (10.17m) after topping the team leaderboard at the Tom Farrell Classic.

Keshon Anderson (FR): With national marks in the 100m (11.23) and 200m (23.45), Keshon has been a reliable sprint contributor and relay staple.

Men's 4x100m Relay: The team of Keshon Anderson, Dylan Kaplan, Jaydin Washington, and Daniel Blae-Price qualified with a blistering time of 43.15 at the TCNJ Lions Invitational.

Men's 4x400m Relay: Featuring Dylan Kaplan, Jaydin Washington, Taha Zia, and Daniel Blae-Price, this squad posted a season-best 3:33.73 at the same meet, showing strong depth and teamwork.
