Nassau Community College sophomore Brady Dolan has been named SUNY Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2025-2026, a prestigious honor recognizing his exceptional achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
A Business Administration major with a 3.40 GPA, Dolan was a driving force behind Nassau's men's lacrosse program, anchoring one of the most dynamic offenses in the country. As the team's lead Attack, he finished the season as the NJCAA national leader in both total points (91) and assists (58)—a feat made even more impressive considering he reached those numbers in just 13 games played.
Dolan's dominant play helped propel Nassau to a NJCAA National Runner-Up finish in 2025, where he was recognized with selections to both the NJCAA All-American First Team and the National Championship All-Tournament Team. His offensive vision, precision passing, and relentless work ethic made him a nightmare for opposing defenses and a cornerstone of the Lions' success.
"Brady represents everything we want in a student-athlete," said Nassau Head Coach Karl Hedstrom. "He's a leader, a competitor, and someone who raises the level of play for everyone around him."
This season marked back-to-back NJCAA North Atlantic District Championships for Dolan and the Lions, adding to a standout freshman campaign in 2024 when he helped guide Nassau to a third-place national finish and was named to the NJCAA All-American Second Team.
Balancing academic responsibilities with the demands of elite-level competition, Dolan exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete. His commitment to excellence, leadership on and off the field, and unwavering drive have earned him one of the highest distinctions SUNY offers.
