How It Happened

Nassau established control of the match in the opening half, generating 10 shots while limiting Bronx to five. The Lions continued applying offensive pressure before breaking through in the 31st minute.

At 30:43, Velazquez opened the scoring off an assist from Noel, giving Nassau a 1-0 advantage. The Lions wasted little time doubling their lead, as Noel turned from playmaker to goal scorer just over three minutes later. Garcia set up Noel at 34:07 to extend Nassau's advantage to 2-0.

Nassau continued its offensive surge before halftime. At 41:58, Garcia recorded his second assist of the match, finding Martinez for the Lions' third goal. The score capped a stretch of three goals in just over 11 minutes and sent Nassau into halftime holding a commanding 3-0 lead.

The Lions maintained their offensive pressure throughout the second half, outshooting Bronx 11-1 over the final 45 minutes. Although Nassau was unable to add to its lead, the Lions continued generating opportunities, with Mohamed Alsayedi, Julio Cuaresma-Arcina, and Benjamin Perez among those contributing to the attack.

Nassau's defense was equally effective after halftime, allowing Bronx just one shot in the second half. Lozano made one save after the break to complete his three-save performance, playing all 90 minutes in goal.

The Lions finished with a 21-6 advantage in total shots and preserved the clean sheet to secure the 3-0 road victory.
