Men's Lacrosse All Americans

Nassau Community College men's lacrosse earned four All-American selections following the 2026 season, with the Lions represented at multiple positions on both the First and Second Team rosters. Attack Luke Hartman and defender GianCarlo Valenti earned First Team All-American honors, while midfielder Alex Kershis and attack Tim Navin were each named to the Second Team — a testament to the talent and depth that defined Nassau's roster throughout the year.

Luke Hartman | Attack | #1

Hartman was one of the most explosive offensive players in the country, finishing the season with 46 goals and 28 assists for 74 points across 15 games — ranking him fifth nationally in points and sixth in goals. His 125 shots ranked second in the NJCAA, and he put 78 of them on cage, also good for second nationally. Hartman's ability to create and finish was on full display throughout the season, highlighted by a 10-point performance against Herkimer College and back-to-back nine-point outings to open the year against Delaware Technical and Williamson Tech. He also added four man-up goals and 47 ground balls, proving he was more than just a scorer — he was a complete player who impacted the game in every phase of the offense.

GianCarlo Valenti | Defense | #14

Valenti earned his First Team All-American nod through his dominance on the defensive end, finishing the season with 31 caused turnovers — third in the entire NJCAA — and 64 ground balls, ranking eighth nationally. What made Valenti's season particularly remarkable was his perfect 100% shots on goal percentage, putting all 15 of his shot attempts on cage — ranking third in the country in that category. He also chipped in seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points, making him one of the most well-rounded defenders in junior college lacrosse. His ability to strip the ball, win ground balls, and still contribute offensively made him an invaluable piece of the Nassau defense, and his First Team selection reflected just how dominant he was on that end of the field all season long.

SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICANS

Alex Kershis | Midfield | #20

Kershis was the engine of the Nassau midfield, earning Second Team All-American recognition after recording 28 goals and 16 assists for 44 points across 14 games. Beyond his offensive production, Kershis was one of the top faceoff specialists in the NJCAA, winning 97 of 177 faceoff attempts for a 54.8% win rate — ranking him 32nd nationally in faceoff percentage and 10th in total faceoff wins. His 76 ground balls ranked sixth in the country, a reflection of his relentless work rate and physicality at the midfield position. Kershis had several standout performances throughout the year, including an eight-point game against Williamson Tech and five-point outings against both Delaware Technical and Sussex County. His combination of faceoff dominance, ground ball production, and scoring ability made him one of the most complete midfielders in the region.

Tim Navin | Attack | #13

Navin complemented Hartman perfectly in the Nassau attack, earning Second Team All-American honors after posting 48 goals and 23 assists for 71 points in 15 games — ranking him fourth nationally in goals and seventh in points. His 117 shots ranked fourth in the NJCAA, and his 41.0 shooting percentage reflected his ability to convert when it mattered most. Navin's best performance of the season came against Anne Arundel Community College, where he erupted for seven goals and an assist in a 23-7 Nassau victory. He also recorded four man-up goals and was a consistent presence in big games, tallying five points in the season finale against Onondaga and seven points against both Williamson Tech and USMAPS. Together, Hartman and Navin formed one of the most dangerous attacking duos in junior college lacrosse, combining for 94 goals and 51 assists on the season.

Nassau's four All-American selections highlight a program that competed at the highest level of junior college lacrosse throughout the 2026 season. With Hartman and Navin leading one of the most prolific offenses in the NJCAA, Valenti anchoring the defense with elite turnover production, and Kershis controlling the midfield on both ends of the field, the Lions proved themselves to be one of the premier programs in the country. The future remains bright in Garden City as Nassau looks to build on this season's success heading into 2027.
