Larry Minor joined the Nassau Community College baseball program as head coach in 1997. For four seasons Minor has led the team to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series. During his coaching career at NCC, Minor has had the honors of being voted Coach Of The Year by the NJCAA Div. III - ABCA/Diamond Regional Coaches. Minor is dedicated to developing student athletes' physical mechanics and techniques, building mental strength, along with providing character building and life skills, so that players can perform and excel on and off the field. Under Minor's coaching, several NCC players have moved on to play for 4-year programs in the NCAA Division I, II and III. Minor began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at N.Y. Institute of Technology. Prior to joining NCC baseball staff, Minor was an assistant coach at Hofstra University. It's Minor's love and respect for the game, which makes him a passionate coach who strives to bring out the best in each player.
