Coach Madison Hnis brings the experience of a Division I collegiate athlete and team captain, along with a passion for player development, to our program.
A proud graduate of General Douglas MacArthur High School, Coach Hnis was a three-year varsity player, earning All-Class, All-County, and Second Team All-Long Island honors, and was part of the 2019 Class A and County Championship teams. At the club level, she played for SUSA G04, competing in the 2021 Northeast ECNL Conference.
Coach Hnis continued her career at the University at Albany, where she played Division I soccer as a starting left winger and served as team captain in 2024 and 2025. She graduated with a degree in Childhood and Special Education and a 3.95 GPA, and was recognized as an America East Presidential Scholar-Athlete. She was also awarded the Malcolm E. Blum '54 School of Education Scholarship.
Currently, Coach Hnis works as a building substitute teacher in North Merrick, supporting students in both general and special education classrooms — experience that has given her valuable insight into working with and connecting with children. She is excited to bring her playing experience, leadership, and passion for the game to coaching, helping athletes build their skills, confidence, and love for soccer.
