Box Score (Newport,RI) The Lions suited up for their first Saturday game of the year last weekend. They went head to head with Navy Prep in Newport, RI.

It was back and forth for for the first quarter as the Lions worked to figure out Navy's defense. After a few key plays, the Lions offense started to click through the rest of the first half. Quarterback Lavelle Hall threw a career high of 4 touchdown passes bring the Lions to 28-0! Aston Brown, Justin Dennis, Ahmere Dorsey and Jelani Greene were on the receiving end of those passes, and helped the Lions take an early lead.

The rushing attack was lead by Jude Innocent and Joshua Mercado throughout the game. Niam Jones sealed the deal in the fourth quarter when the Lions picked up a valuable first down, and squeezed a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The final score ended up being was 42-21.

This Saturday the Lions will hit the road again to take on Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA.
