(Holyoke, MA) The Women's Soccer Team was back on the road again this weekend as they made the journey down to Holyoke Community College for their third game of the week. It was an early Saturday morning start, and the Lions were starting to feel the previous games in them - some players even out due to injury. However, despite the odds, they were determined to finish this week on a high note, and set them up for success going into next week.
The Lions were fierce, however, a few defensive mistakes were made in the first half, resulting in a goal for the Cougars. It was an uphill battle from there. NCC didn't find enough opportunities to attack, and catch back up. In the final minutes of the second half, Holyoke seized a shot on goal, and finalized the overall score to 2-0.
Head Coach
Chris Megaloudis commented after the game, "I knew this game would be difficult, being our third game of the week, and being on the road. However, I liked the determination I saw, and I know that after we review film to prepare for our next game, we will be in a much better position, physically and mentally."
You can catch the Lions on September 9th as they take on the Fashion Institute of Technology Tigers at home in Garden City.
