(Garden City, NY) Last Friday, the NCC Lions held their home opener against Hudson Valley Community College. There were approximately 690 attendees.
 
The Lions came out determined and ready to prove that all of the hard work this summer had paid off. NCC scored 28 points alone in the first quarter. The defense successfully held the Vikings to just 6 points. To close out the quarter, Freshman Stephen Barongi had an impressive 9 yard interception with only 2 minutes left on the clock!
 
NCC held Hudson Valley to zero points in both the 2nd and 4th quarters. The final score was 42-13! Freshman Lavelle Hall finished with 202 yards passing. Sophomore Naim Jones went for 166 yards rushing, and Justin Dennis tallied 56 yard receiving.
