Javon Jackson Got It Done At The Center Spot

(Garden City, NY) The second ranked Lions hosted  Brookdale Community College on Saturday afternoon.  

The Lions came out hot for the second game in a row scoring 6 goals in the first quarter yet again, while holding Brookdale scoreless taking a 6-0 lead into the second quarter for the second consecutive game.  The Lions scored 6 goals in the second quarter while Brookdale scored their only goal of the game in the second quarter taking a decisive 12-1 lead into the half.

The Lions slowed it down in the second half and scored 5 goals between the third and fourth quarters, while shutting the Jersey Blues out in the second half, making the final 17-1.

Javon Jackson dominated Face-Offs going 9 for 11 at the X while Tyler Butrico was an impressive 5 for 8. Omar Morris chipped in going 4 for 8.

Billy Kelly, Gunnar Luckoski and Brian Schindler played very well in the goal while Taylor Jensen, Brian Schaefer, Haze Rainis, David Mahler, Aidan Conk, Vincent Deceglia, Kevin Meaney, Scott Sasso and Tyler Butrico led another solid defensive effort.  Stefan Smith and Zach Honig also contributed to the stout Lion defense.  

Leading another well-rounded offensive effort was Patrick Morris who led all offensive players  for the second straight game with 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists), Mike Kadnar had 4 goals, Justin Roderka had 3 goals, while

Dylan Villari and Eddie Munoz had 2 goals and 1 assist each.  Danny Pulis had 2 goals, Scott Sasso had 1 goal and 1 assist, Toraine Rodney and Kevin Meaney had 1 goal each, while Evan Killen, Jack Mullen and Mike Zito had an assist each.  D'Onte Goodridge, Thomas Rogers and Joe Moneteleone along with Jake Lopez, Toraine Rodney and Henry Perez commanded the second half offensive possession to secure victory.
