(Syracuse, NY) This was a game that was a nail biter to the end. The Cougars of GCC got on the Lions early in the game taking a large lead over Nassau into the half. Down 8-3 the lions knew they had to come out in the second half and execute. Coach Savage's men did not disappoint the crowd. Nassau trailing 5-9 went on an unanswered 7 goal swing. Leading Genesee 12-9 the time of the clock became the enemy.
Goals were exchanged back and forth, with under 3 minutes remaining GCC scored bring the lead down to 2 goals, then again with 51 seconds remaining. The Lions held strong and ran out the clock winning 15-14.
