(Syracuse, NY)  This was a game that was a nail biter to the end.  The Cougars of GCC got on the Lions early in the game taking a large lead over Nassau into the half.  Down 8-3 the lions knew they had to come out in the second half and execute.  Coach Savage's men did not disappoint the crowd.  Nassau trailing 5-9 went on an unanswered 7 goal swing.  Leading Genesee 12-9 the time of the clock became the enemy.  

Goals were exchanged back and forth, with under 3 minutes remaining GCC scored bring the lead down to 2 goals, then again with 51 seconds remaining.  The Lions held strong and ran out the clock winning 15-14.

Braydon Cresswell found the net 5 times for the Nassau with 2 assists.  It was a team effort all around.  The defense led by captain Hayes Rainis and Taylor Jensen did an amazing job keeping the lions in the game.  Goalie Billy Kelly came up huge when it counted making 11 saves on the day.
