Ramirez Hat Trick Fuels Lions Win Against Manhattan CC
(Garden City, NY) On Tuesday night Women's Soccer was under the lights of Mitchel Field where they competed against Manhattan Community College. Coming off of a solid win against big time rival Suffolk, the Lions were ready to keep the win streak alive.
Nataly Ramirez started at striker and was on fire from the beginning of the first half. Ramirez had a flawless hat trick, scoring 3 consecutive goals. The Lions were up immediately and there was no looking back. In the second half, the team really meshed together. They had some great crosses in the box and
Maya Jones helped finish multiple goals. The women kept Manhattan completely scoreless and won 9-0.
Nataly Ramirez and
Diana Lemus were the outstanding players of the game for their energy and determination to win.
"We started off a little sluggish, but once we put the ball down and played simple soccer we became effective in creating scoring opportunities. We just have to keep working hard and continuing to grow as a team to build up that chemistry." stated Head Coach
Chris Megaloudis post-game.
The Lions are back in action on Sunday the 30th at home versus the Fashion Institute of Technology.
