(Bronx, NY) On Tuesday night, the Nassau Women's Basketball Team traveled to #4 ranked Monroe College to battle the Mustangs.
Coming off of 2 solid wins last week, Nassau was on a roll. The Lions came out dominating from the beginning. This time it wasn't just the offense that was on fire. The Lions defense held the Mustangs to a maximum of 10 points during both first half quarters pushing them further into the lead.
The Lions continued to pour on the pressure. Lindsay McBean went on an 8-0 run in the 4th quarter to really seal the deal. NCC defeated Monroe 80-45.
Standout players of the game were the 4 individuals who scored double digits. Bri'Anna Jones tallied 17 points. Lindsay McBean had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Bobbi Green recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Emily Pohalski scored 12 points total.

Brian Kuar commented after the game, "Our ladies are buying in and embracing the culture. Our motto this season has been 'Do your best, be your best and always give your best effort.' We plan to continue to follow that mantra through to post-season play."
Next up for the Lions will be on the road against Bronx Community College on Thursday.
