(Garden City, NY) On Tuesday night, Nassau hosted Hostos CC at home for their second match up of the season. The Lions previously lost to Hostos, 62-104 in early December. In addition, Hostos stands as the defending 2018 Division III National Champions.

They outscored Hostos 13-12. Going into the 4th quarter, NCC was only down by 7, but Hostos pulled away when they went on a 7-0 run caused by 3 back to back turnovers. Overall, the Lions fell 68-51.
Bobbi Green led the team in scoring with 14 points. BriAnna Jones tallied 10, while Ashley Barret had 7 points, 13 rebounds – 9 of them being offensive, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Diana Lemus recorded 6 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
"I know I speak for the rest of the coaching staff when I say, we are really proud of how we competed tonight. We executed our game plan for majority of the game. We realized that when we deviate from the game plan that we find ourselves in trouble. This is a good takeaway for our team going into post-season play." Head Coach
Brian Kuar stated after the game.
Next up for the Lions will be on Thursday against Suffolk Community College.
