Game Recap: Softball | | Maria Paolillo

Softball Falls to Dutchess CC in First Conference Game of the Season

(Garden City, NY) Last Saturday the Women's Softball team competed against Dutchess CC in their first inner conference double header of the 2019 season. 

Dutchess got out in front early during the first inning. Batting in the bottom of the first for the Lions was Lilly Galasso. She hit a double, scoring an RBI to make the score 8-1. It was a battle back and forth with a lot of close runs for Nassau. The Lions were able to hold Dutchess completely scoreless in the top of the 5th. The final score was 19-1. 

Head Coach Kerri Baum commented after the game, "This was a tough day for us, but we never gave up, and that is what I am most proud of our student athletes for. Every game is a learning experience, and we are on their way to playing both mentally and physically smart."
