(Garden City, NY) It was a rainy Sunday on the home field of the Nassau Men's Lacrosse team. The Lions faced off against Mercer County CC. 
 
NCC didn't waist any time jumping to the lead. They scored 9 points in the first quarter and 6 in the second. Dan Rooney led the team with a total of 8 points in the first half. The score going into halftime was 15-2. 
 
Nassau continued to clean up coming back from the half. They tallied 8 points in the 3rd quarter. Toraine Rodney and Patrick Behrens both contributed with a pair of goals each. The final score was 24-2.
 
Tyler Volpi and John Ehlers dominated the face-off. Volpi went 3-4 draws, while Ehlers went 21-23. Dan Rooney led the team in goals with 8 points. He also picked up 2 ground balls. Patrick Behrens recorded 6 points and picked up 1 ground ball. 
 
The Lions sit 8-1 for the season thus far. They will play Army Prep on Saturday in West Point, NY. The game will begin at 1 PM ET.
