(Garden City, NY) Last Sunday, the Nassau Lions Men's Lacrosse Team hosted Anne Arundel Community College at home for their first home game of the season. 
 
The Lions didn't waste any time getting started. 
Eddie Munoz scored the first goal for the Lions, and after that they went on to score 6 points in the 1st and 2nd half, while holding Anne Arundel to only 1. The score going into halftime was 12-1. 
 
Nassau continued to dominate and hold the River Hawks to only 1 goal the entire game. They finished the game, victorious, 17-1. The Lions now stand at 2-1 overall for the season.
 
Outstanding student-athlete of the game was 
Dan Rooney, who tallied 5 points, with 4 goals and 1 assist. 
Tanner Germain also had a great day. He scored had 4 points, with 3 of those being goals. 
Justin Roderka and 
Eddie Munoz also recorded 3 for the day.
 
"It was a well played game for both the Lions and River Hawks. I'm excited to see how we carry our momentum into the Onondaga game next Saturday." commented Head Coach 
John Savage when asked how he thought the match up played out.
 
Next up for Nassau is Onondaga Community College on Saturday, March 9th in Syracuse, New York.
