Game 1:
(Garden City, NY) Last Wednesday, Pitcher Joe Wolf threw a complete shutout and led Nassau Men's Baseball to a 10-0 victory over Monroe College-Bronx. This was the first of a five game series between the Lions and the Express.

Nassau opened up scoring in the first inning when Mike Iacobellis drove in a run off of a single. The Lions took the lead from the beginning, recording 4 runs in the first and 3 in the second.

Wolf surrendered zero runs on two hits over six innings. He struck out a total of 10 batters and didn't record any walks.Â

Overall the Lions had 11 hits and didn't commit a single error. Iacobellis, TJ Toscano and
John Capozzoli each tallied multiple hits. Iacobellis led the Lions with 3 hits in 4 at bats.Â

The Lions play the Express again in double headers on Friday and Saturday.Â
Game 2:
(Garden City, NY) Nassau hosted Monroe College-Bronx at home in their second of five games against the Express. The Lions were coming off of a spectacular 10-0 win, and looking to continue the streak.

Nassau took control in the top of the first inning with an RBI off of a single from TJ Toscano. Both teams had slow second and third innings. It wasn't until the top of the firth, that the Lions put the Express away. NCC recorded 9 runs total in the inning. The offense was supported by singles from
Nick Cavallo and
Chris Morro, while TJ Toscano and Tucket Hahn both had double. Mike Iacobellis contributed with a walk. Nassau finished the game in 5 innings winning 14-1.

Standout player of the game was TJ Toscano. He went 4 for 4 at the plate to lead the Lions in hits. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the third and fifth.

Andrew Williams was on the mound for NCC. He allowed 3 hits and 1 run over five innings. He struck out 6 batters and walked only one.

The Lions continue with the Monroe College-Bronx series this afternoon and again on Saturday.
Game 3:
(Garden City, NY) The Monroe College-Bronx Express took the field for the third match of a five game series against Nassau on Friday. The Lions led the series 2-0 going into the game.Â

Chris Morro helped get the Lions on the right track in the second inning when he hit a double scoring 1 run. But in the bottom of the fourth, Monroe managed to fight back and tie the game at 3-3.

In the top of the fifth, Mike Iacobellis was sitting at a 2-1 count when he hit a home run to punch in 2 runs. The Lions scored 4 total runs before the inning was over to cushion their lead. Then again in the sixth inning,
John Capozzoli,
Nick Cavallo and
Tucker Hahn all tallied RBI's to score another 4 runs. Nassau walked away with the victory 11-4.

Chris Morro led the Lions in hits with 3 each. Iacobellis, Capozzoli and Cavallo also contributed multiple hits for the team.Â

Pitcher
Brandon Buchan held down the mound for Nassau. He went 3 for two-thirds innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and struck out 7 batters.

The Lions have two more inner conference series before they head to the NJCAA Region XV Tournament in May.
