(Garden City, NY) Last Thursday, the Nassau Volleyball team laced up their sneakers and went head to head with Division I Monroe College.

The Lions put up their best fight in the first set, but weren't able to secure a win, falling 12-25. Monroe continued to lay on the pressure and walked away with the second set (5-25). Nassau made a tough run at the third set, but Monroe was too quick. The final score was 8-25. 

Freshman Joanna Weissler recorded 4 digs, while teammate Olivia Burns tallied 2 assists. 

Nassau will be back on Saturday with a double header.
