(Poughkeepsie, NY) In New York State's Hudson Valley on Saturday, the Nassau Women's Basketball team played as if they had their own home court advantage as they competed against Dutchess. 

The Region XV opponents started off the half figuring each other out, but Nassau's defense pressed the Falcons in ways they were not prepared for. With ease, Nassau closed out the second quarter 22-8. They also successfully forced 20 turnovers with their protective form of defense.

Nassau continued to dominate as the second half commenced. They went on a 16-4 run to kick off the 3rd quarter and didn't look back. The final score of the game was 78-41.

Outstanding players of the game were Gigi Faison who tallied 22 points. Abby Babatunde who helped lead the team with 13 points, while Alexis Aponte and Bobbi Green weren't far behind and recorded 11 points each.

Nassau presses on to 22 victories in a row. They are currently 14-0 in the conference and ranked #1 ahead of Hostos. The women will take a much deserved break during the week and not play again until next Sunday where they will take on Orange at home.
