The Lions took on the Roxbury Tigers in their second game at the CCRI Invitational after previously defeating the host team they were bound for another tough matchup. The Lions were able to score effectively with a defensive performance to match outscoring the Tigers 45-36. The Lions were forced to hold off a second half surge from Roxbury when they managed to put up 44 points, however the first half lead prevailed in the Lions favor when they were able to put up 40 of their own points to bring the final score to 85-80 in a Lions victory. The Lions were led offensively by
Ahunna Okoko who had 18 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Sophomore
Sahdique Watkins contributed with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists of his own. Off the bench freshman Kervin Lai-Fook Francis came in big providing the Lions with 12 points to help fend off any Roxbury comeback.
