The Lions went into the Bronx to face the Hostos Caimans for a Tuesday night matchup. The Lions entered the game coming off of a tough one point loss to ASA and Hostos came into this game on a four game winning streak having previously beat ASA. The opening quarter saw great defensive game planning and adjustments as both teams were tied when it ended by the score of 9-9. The second quarter saw Hostos build up a lead as well as making it difficult for the The Lions to get quality scoring opportunities, at halftime the score would 26-15 in Hostos favor. The Lions would come out of halftime and would manage to execute defensively better than the previous quarter but still struggled offensively. Going into the last quarter the Lions were down by nine points with score being 24-33. Alas, the Lions offense was unable to pick it up to override the Caimans defense and offensive output as they were unable to mount a comeback with game resulting in a final score of 35-47 as the Lions now fall to 2-2 on the season. Freshman
Frances Brown led the Lions offense having recorded another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds while freshman forward
Mia Weinschreider recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Lions next matchup will be a rematch against Hostos as they look to return the favor of this game.
