In their second game at the Montgomery College Holiday Tournament the Lions faced the Union County College Owls. The Lions enter this game having just come off of a victory against the host team the Montgomery County Raptors while the Owls are coming off of a loss against against the same team. The first half of the game saw both teams battling back and forth as both teams battled to instill their offensive and defensive game plans fighting for the lead. At halftime it was a very close game with Union County leading by just 3 points (31-34). Coming out in the second half this game had turned into an offensive shootout, the Lions had been trading the Owls bucket for bucket even outscoring them in the second half 44-43. However the three point lead the Owls had in the first half managed to inevitably prevent the Lions from winning the game as they would eventually go on to lose by two points with the final score being 75-75.
Ahunna Okoko had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Sahdique Watkins had 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Lamont Hugh, Jr had 10 points alongside his 8 rebounds.
Shabue Mosley provided the Lions with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Timothy Waite also scored double digits for the Lions with 12 points. Although the Lions did not get the result they wanted many players are coming into form as they are now in the midpoint of their season.
