The Lions traveled to West Windsor, New Jersey to face the Mercer County Vikings in a weekend matchup. The Lions came into this game having won an absolute battle against the at the time #3 ranked Essex Knights. While the Vikings entered the game having won two out of their last three. The Lions started the game a little slower than anticipated as they got on the board twice late in the first quarter having closed it out 2-0. The second period the Lions seemed to find their groove as they were able to score three time throughout with the first goal coming less than a minute in. The Vikings were able to get on the board themselves to cut the deficit to now four goals going into halftime. The second half was all Lions as they would go onto to not allow the Vikings to score for the rest of the game while they managed to score four goals in the third quarter and six goals in the fourth. The Lions would win with the final score being 15-1. Some top performances for the Lions came from Kamryn Gill who scored 3 goals, 7 ground balls and one assist. Brian Pohoreckyj recorded 2 goals, 1 assist. Ryan Murphy recorded 2 goals. Lastly, David Squires provided great lockdown as he caused 8 turnovers as well as recorded 5 ground balls. The Lions remain the #1 ranked team with their 2-0 record and look forward towards their March 26th matchup against Army Prep.
