The Nassau Community College men's soccer team defeated Kingsborough Community College by a score of 4-0 in the Region XV Quarterfinal on Saturday evening. The Lions advance to the Region XV Semifinal on Wednesday, October 30th.

How it happened

• Nassau held possession for the majority of the first half, and put the pressure on with eight corner kicks and thirteen shots in the first 45 minutes, but were unable to capitalize on any opportunities. Kingsborough did not take any shots in the first half.
• Kyriakos Katehis scored opened the scoring in the 49th minute, assisted by Matteo Kanakaris.
• Christian Russo scored the next goal for Nassau in the 69th minute, assisted by Christian Yanes.
• Katehis scored his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute, assisted by a cross from Joseph Mejia and a one touch pass in the box from Christian Russo.
• Kevin Courtois gave the Lions a four goal lead off a breakaway in the 88th minute of play.
• Goalkeeper Ford Balde had two saves for his fourth win of the season.
• Nassau held the advantage in shots (22-5) and corner kicks (8-3).
