Result

The Nassau Community College men's basketball team defeated Borough of Manhattan Community College by a score of 83-79 as both teams battled Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• The Lions and Panthers played a closely contested game through all fourty minutes, as the Nassau narrowly edged out Borough of Manhattan for the win in the final minutes.
• Leading by one point with two minutes remaining, a jumper by Adrian Rosario and corner three-point shot from Donte Howard, later followed by free throws from Aidan Smith and Sean Walsh helped to secure the win for Nassau.
• While Borough of Manhattan had a better shooting percentage, Nassau held the advantage in rebounds, with 16 offensive rebounds converted into 19 second chance points. Nassau was also more successful at the free throw line, shooting 17-29.

Notes

• Donte Howard led Nassau with 25 points, including three three-pointers and went 8-8 at the free throw line. He also added eight assists and three steals.
• Adrian Rosario scored 18 points and shot 89%  (8-9) from the field, with seven rebounds.
• Sean Walsh scored 16 points, including three baskets from behind the arc.
