The Nassau Community College men's volleyball team won its first match ever on the third day of the Monroe Invitational on Saturday.

After dropping a 3-0 decision to the College of DuPage – which finished fourth at the 2023 NJCAA NJCAA Men's Volleyball Invitational – the Lions swept Passaic Community College, 3-0, to notch the first victory in program history.

Game 1: DuPage 3, NCC 0 (13-25, 18-25, 16-25)

Top performers

• Attila Nerette hit .636 and put down a team-best seven kills.
• Mustafa Pasha led the Lions in assists (19) and shared the team lead in digs (8) with Hussan Kahn.  

Game 2: NCC 3, Passaic 0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-15)

Top performers

• Brian Sandmeier led NCC with 13 kills (.423 hitting percentage) and 12 service aces and was credited with eight digs.
• Pasha's 26 assists were a team-best.
• Stephen Gilmartin had a team-high nine digs and Connor Williams led all Lions with three blocks.
