The Nassau Community College women's basketball team wrapped up its 2023-24 season at the NJCAA Division III National Championship March 13-14 in Rochester, M.N.

Designated as the 12th seed in the tournament, NCC drew fifth-seeded Northland Community & Technical College in the first round but lost 84-49 on Wednesday. Freshman Aiyanna Hamilton led Nassau with 15 points, and sophomore Shyann Parker tallied 10 points and posted team-best totals for rebounds (8), steals (4), and assists (4).

NCC drew the Community College of Rhode Island in Thursday's consolation round. CCRI was the tournament's ninth seed and lost to Prince George's Community College in the first round. 

Nassau was defeated, 69-58, by CCRI and saw their season come to an end. Hamilton led all scorers with 26 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field. Parker and fellow sophomore Mia Cheatham posted 11 and 15 points, respectively. Hamilton, Parker, and Cheatham were all credited with three steals apiece and freshman Janatta Bartley pulled down a game-best 12 rebounds. 

The Lions finish the campaign with a 20-9 overall record and a perfect 11-0 home mark. They were 10th in the season's final national poll and entered the NJCAA Region XV Championship as the second seed. After beating host Kingsborough Community College in the semis, NCC lost to Monroe College - Bronx in the regional final.

Nassau qualified for the national championship via one of the four available at-large bids.
