The Nassau Community College men's volleyball team won two matches to extend its winning streak to four games at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions secured a 3-2 victory over Kingsborough Community College before sweeping BMCC, 3-0. The wins see NCC improve to 6-10 overall on the season and 4-1 in Region XV play.Â
Game 1: NCC 3, KCCÂ 2Â (23-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-17, 15-12)
Top performers
- Brian Sandmeier hit .295 and posted game-best totals for kills (19) and digs (27).
- Hunter Dunn went for game-bests in assists (39) and blocks (5), and was credited with 13 digs.
- Hussan Kahn had 10 kills and six digs.
Game 2:Â NCC 3, BMCCÂ 0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-18)
Top performers
- Sandmeier hit .220 and again led all players in kills (8).
- Khan hit .667, put down seven kills, and led all players with seven digs.
- Dunn went for a game-high 18 assists and five digs.
