Former Lion Chris Collier recently became the latest in a long line of Nassau Community College football team alumni to sign with a National Football League organization.
A member of the NCC program for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, Collier put pen to paper on a deal with the Baltimore Ravens after the NFL Draft concluded on Saturday, April 27.
The running back made 16 appearances across two seasons for the Lions, compiling 348 rushing yards, 184 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns. He transferred to and graduated from NCAA Division I Wagner College, where he played 11 games between 2020 and 2022.
Collier, an Elmhurst, N.Y. native, chose to attend Lock Haven University as a graduate student in 2023. He earned AFCA Division II All-America First-Team honors after amassing 1,393 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games.
Despite not being drafted, Collier impressed at the 2024 NFL Combine, posting a 40-yard dash time of 4.48. The Ravens were among several teams interested in signing Collier after the weekend's draft selections were made.
Collier seeks to join the more than 40 former members of the NCC football program to have featured for NFL teams.
