The Nassau Community College Lions opened Region XV play with a 3-0 sweep over Queensborough Community College (25-21, 25-19, 25-20) on Saturday. Nassau's balanced offense and dominant serving game powered the Lions past Queensborough in straight sets. With Wilder sparking the attack, Ramlogan leading the defense, and Clarke impacting both ends, the Lions move to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Region XV play.

Set 1 (25-21): Nassau overcame an early 2-0 deficit with kills from Alexandra Pierre-Saint and Takiya Wilder. The Lions built momentum behind a block from Hannah Clarke and Marlei Johnson, and service aces by Clarke and Jocelyn Teelextended the lead to 16-11. Queensborough cut the margin to 21-23 late, but Nassau closed it out with a Wilder kill and Clarke's block to take the opener.

Set 2 (25-19): Nassau surged ahead early, using a 5-0 run highlighted by a Jenna Ramlogan ace and back-to-back Wilder kills to make it 9-5. Wilder then strung together three straight service aces for a commanding 14-7 advantage. Though Queensborough fought back with late aces from Aryam Perez Capellan, the Lions regained control as Rios and Pierre-Saint put away key points to secure the set.

Set 3 (25-20): In the closest set of the match, Queensborough pushed ahead 14-10 before the Lions stormed back. Ramlogan delivered two aces, and Brianna Ramirez added a service ace to put Nassau in front 18-16. Wilder and Pierre-Saint combined for late kills, while Clarke capped the win with an ace and a block to seal the sweep, 25-20.
